Empathy & Perspective
I have to say, there is so much information and content packed into this 35 minute video. For those who have never heard of Simon Sinek, he is the author of multiple best selling books including Start With Why, Leaders Eat Last, Together is Better, and The Infinite Game.
Though I have not read his books (but they’re in my queue!) I have watched many of his videos and listened to his podcast. His optimism and energy is a great boost that I sometimes need on the hard days, or when coffee won’t cure my less optimistic look on the day. This video gives an amazing perspective of success and, most importantly, empathy.
As Simon states “Trust and cooperation are not standard in our organizations and yet we know they should be. There are two attributes that every single leader has the opportunity to possess that will help them create the types of organizations we would be proud to call our own. Those two attributes are EMPATHY & PERSPECTIVE.“
